Families can meet some of the Family Weekend staff, enjoy some light refreshments, and receive a schedule of the weekend events and tickets for specific performances.

Dueling Pianos – Bart Luedeke Center Pub (Lawrenceville Campus)

The Rider University Greek Council presents a unique form of comedy and music that will thrill and delight students and parents alike. 18 to enter, 21 to drink.

ODK Induction Ceremony — Gill Chapel (Lawrenceville Campus)
7 p.m.
The Rider Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, invites inductees and their families to celebrate the leadership contributions of our newest members with this formal ceremony to officially welcome them to the Circle.

Family Weekend Concert — George Washington Ballroom, War Memorial, Trenton
7:30 p.m.
Presented as part of Westminster’s Transforming Space project, Westminster Chapel Choir and Westminster Schola Cantorum collaborate with Trenton’s DanceSpora contemporary dance company to perform Johannes Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes. Please check the website for updates regarding tickets.

9 a.m.– noon. An annual tradition featuring current RUF students taking on their alumni counterparts!

Leadership Development Program Induction Ceremony — Bart Luedeke Center Theater (Lawrenceville Campus)

The Center for the Development of Leadership Skills formally inducts new members into Rider’s Leadership Development Program.

Come to the Study Abroad Family Session to learn more about how your student can study abroad with Rider. We will be going over short-term study abroad and internships abroad.

Fraternity and Sorority Life Information Session - Student Recreation Center Seminar Room (Lawrenceville Campus)

Fraternity or sorority life can provide your student with an invaluable experience during their time at Rider University. Social fraternities and sororities are a tradition dating back to 1922 when the first fraternity was founded at Rider University. Today, 14 Greek organizations on campus provide social, philanthropic, academic, and leadership development. Join us to learn the benefits of membership and how your student can get involved during the spring semester.

Rider Veterans and Military Photos – Student Recreation Center Atrium (Lawrenceville Campus)
11 a.m.-2 p.m.
In preparation for our Veterans Day events, Rider Veterans and Military Affairs Office invites you to submit a photo of a Veteran or Military service member you love. Stop by to have your picture taken or to have us upload a picture for our photo feed. Pictures will be displayed at www.rider.edu/ridervetphotos using #RiderVets and tagging @RiderVeterans on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

The Office of Service Learning invites families to help us build our caring community by participating in easy on-site service projects that benefit local families in Trenton. Rider families are asked to bring items to help us start creating our Thanksgiving Baskets.

Family Feud – Bart Luedeke Center Theater (Lawrenceville Campus)
2 p.m.
100 Rider students were asked….“What are you going to do with your family during Family Weekend?” Survey says… “Win prizes during Family Feud!” That’s right…Recreation Programs is hosting another game show to add to our repertoire (Price is Right, Minute to Win It, etc.) and we’re asking Rider families to come have a great time with us while competing in this popular game show. All you need is 3-5 “family/friends” to enter into the game and we’ll take it from there.

Men's Basketball Exhibition Game – Alumni Gym (Lawrenceville Campus)
4 p.m.
Experience the marvel that is the Rider men's basketball team as it competes in an exhibition game for the Rider community.  Obtain your tickets at Family Weekend Headquarters.

For Family Weekend a special version of the game has been designed.  Families and students can play to win prizes and enjoy this exciting weekend activity. Sponsored by the Residence Hall Association.
